As you've so aptly pointed out, building practices of resiliency, healthy living and peer support into a person's day-to-day lifestyle better prepares them for times of crisis and stress. As the old adage goes, "people don't plan to fail, they fail to plan" and if people have a plan they will be better positioned to withstand any storm that may come their way.
